Background
Following his graduation from law school, he served as law clerk to Connecticut Supreme Court Justices Robert Callahan and Richard N. Palmer. In his capacity as law clerk, he was involved in the drafting of court opinions on matters pending before the Supreme Court.
Upon completing his term as law clerk, in 1996, Attorney Sullivan joined the firm of Mellon, Hickey and Capuano. While there, Attorney Sullivan handled a variety of matters in both the criminal and civil court, as well representing many clients in the probate court and representing buyers, sellers and financing institutions in real estate transactions.
In 1998, Attorney Sullivan joined with Attorney Daniel J. Mahaney and became a partner in Mahaney, Geghan and Sullivan. While at Mahaney, Geghan and Sullivan, Attorney Sullivan represented clients in federal and state criminal matters, probate courts matters throughout the state and personal injury lawsuits throughout Connecticut. With regard to probate court matters, Attorney Sullivan focuses on will contests and estate administration. In addition, he handled many commercial and residential real estate closings, including several mutli-million dollar transactions. In 2015, Attorney Sullivan opened his own firm, Sullivan & Attanasio, which now resides in Middlebury, CT.
Education
Attorney Sullivan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Providence College and received his Juris Doctorate law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut in 1995.
